Vironex provides the “real-time” Membrane Interface Probe (MIP) advanced characterization system to search out and obtain a clearer understanding of vertical and horizontal contaminant mass distribution in relation to lithology. This information is critical in determining target injection intervals and is aimed at destroying contaminants by better contact with contaminant mass and optimized injection of reagents.
To confirm our full-scale injection assumptions, the ability of the formation to accept proposed injection volumes without surfacing, and distribution reagents within target intervals and design ROI, injection pilot testing is recommended.
A critical component of the pilot test is to know the injection profile of the target intervals identified by the MIP. The Hydraulic Profiling Tool (HPT) provides continuous real-time profiles of soil hydraulic properties. The HPT uses a sensitive, downhole transducer to measure the pressure response of the soil to injection of water. With the HPT data injection, pressures and flows can be accurately determined for the target intervals.
